The Wolf expressed in modern culture as the predatory, loner character, has been short-sided. The Wolf is actually a pack animal that survives by being in touch with its instincts. Early pre-christian folklore and myths tell of the maternal, female mother wolf who protects her tribe by being deeply connected to her intuition.
